As Construct and Creation offers an overview of the town and its song, the cycle of Construct offers a closer examination of the people of Huddersfield. The bankers and shopkeepers, landlords, students and publicans.

Part one depicts a busy town centre in mid January. The tuned percussion echoing the movement of the people whilst the dual piano play off each other describing the architecture of its buildings. From the Victorian elegance of the Byrom arcade to the “Stately home with trains” (anon) design of Huddersfield railway station

The composition takes you on a journey from the north eastern outskirts, moving around the main streets and market places until you end up in front of the library and art gallery  on the south western corner of the town centre where the piece ends.
